The meeting held in the headquarters of NIK dealt with the future and development of independent state auditing and the role of independent auditors. NIK President Marian Banaś underscored the role of NIK in the betterment of state administration. He also emphasised NIK’s readiness to continue cooperation with the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine in terms of exchange of experiences and organisation of training programmes for auditors.
Mr Pavlo Frolov underlined that Ukraine, as a democratic state, wants to draw on Polish solutions. He highly appreciates the experience of NIK auditors and hopes for close cooperation with such a professional partner.
NIK and the SAI of Ukraine have cooperated for over 20 years. The effects of this collaboration include: numerous parallel audits, seminars and workshops aimed at modernisation of state auditing and improvement of effectiveness of state and European spending.
